The 10th week of the 2009 College Football Season has some interesting pairings and betting lines for Saturday.

Alabama -7.5 vs. LSU, 3:30PM ET
One of the marquee games for Saturday features two of the SEC’s finest when Alabama takes on LSU. After failing to cover in its last two games, Alabama had a bye week last week and should be fully rested to take on a LSU team that has struggled on offense. The Tigers are 2-2-1 against the spread in conference games and their offense will have a tough time posting any points against the Alabama defense. Look for Mark Ingram to lead the Tide to a pair of touchdowns on offense while LSU is unable to find the end zone in a low scoring win for Alabama.

Penn State -5 vs. Ohio State, 3:30PM ET
In this big game in the Big Ten Conference, the game will come down to quarterback play. While neither team’s guy has been consistent, Penn State’s Darryl Clark has been able to lead the Nittany Lions to some marquee wins while Terrelle Pryor has not for Ohio State. Pryor will struggle against a tough Penn State defense while Clark will make enough plays for the Penn State to cover the low spread.

Washington State +32 at Arizona, 3:30PM ET
Washington State could be one of the worst teams in college football, but the Cougars have been able to cover against strong teams this year like California and USC. Arizona is a good football team, but has not been overly dominant on offense. With more of a running-style attack, the Wildcats aren’t likely to win by 32 points. Arizona hasn’t won by more than 17 points in any game this year. Look for the Cougars to play well enough to cover on Saturday.

Northwestern +15.5 at Iowa, Noon ET
Iowa has been a team that has played to the level of its competition, but now with the loss of running back Adam Robinson for the season due to an injury, it is up to quarterback Ricky Stanzi to lead the Hawkeye offense. Stanzi threw five interceptions last week and doesn’t seem to be a guy that Iowa can count on. Northwestern has the offense that can score points and if the Wildcats can keep the Iowa defense and special teams from scoring, covering the spread should be no problem.
