2010 NFL Draft Player Prop Odds & Wagers

The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft takes place Thursday, April 22 and oddsmakers have released player prop odds for the event. Let’s take a look.

Bet The NFL Draft

The St. Louis Rams have the first overall pick in this year’s draft and are expected to take one of three players: Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, or Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy. The early consensus is that they’ll wind up with Bradford, however.

The Detroit Lions have the second overall pick and might select Suh, McCoy or possibly Oklahoma State offensive tackle Russell Okung. Left tackle is a huge need for the Lions, but it would be hard for them to pass up on a great prospect such as Suh to plug into their defensive line.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs round out the rest of the top 5. The Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars select Nos. 6 through 10.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have started to release prop odds for some of the players expected to be drafted in the first round. For example, Clemson running back CJ Spiller is –800 on the money line to be selected before California RB Jahvid Best, who is +450 on the money line.

Oddsmakers have also released odds for Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, who is one of the more recognizable prospects in this year’s draft. He was invited to attend the draft in New York, which usually indicates that the player will be selected in the first round. But given how he’s such a media draw, the NFL might have invited him so he could drum up some interest on April 22.

Tebow is +350 on the money line to be taken in the first round, +175 in to be taken in the second round and +220 to be selected in the third. He’s +350 to be taken in the fourth, +700 in the fifth, +1000 in the sixth and +1500 in the seventh. He’s also +5000 on the money line to not be drafted at all.
