2010 NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds & Over/Under Totals
NFL preseason action continues this week with games starting on Thursday night and continuing to next Monday. Read on to check out the odds.
Game of the Week: Cowboys vs. Chargers
The game of the week is in San Diego on Saturday night as the Chargers host the Dallas Cowboys. This is a matchup of two playoff teams from 2009 and will feature outstanding passing games led by Philip Rivers and Tony Romo, respectively.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.comhave made the Bolts 3-point favorites over the ‘Boys this week, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 36.5 points.
As of now, neither team’s starters are expected to play beyond the first quarter.
Sunday Night Game: Vikings vs. 49ers
While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Brett Favre is expected to play again this season. August 17th marks the same day that he returned last year and this was the week that he made his preseason debut with the Vikings. Assuming he’s following the same trend, he’ll play this Sunday night in San Francisco.
Last year, Favre struggled in his debut by completing only one of four pass attempts for four yards. Obviously the regular season told a different story, but it’s worth noting that he could be rusty again this year.
Oddsmakers have made the 49ers 3-point favorites over the Vikings this Sunday night, while the over/under opend at 34.5.
Monday Night Football: Cardinals vs. Titans
The new-look Cardinals will take their act to Tennessee this week to play Chris Johnson and the Titans. Following Kurt Warner’s retirement and the trade of receiver Anquan Boldin, the Cards are expected to be more of a run-first team with running back Beanie Wells leading the charge.
The Titans want to start better than they did last year after losing their first six games in a row before rebounding for an 8-8 finish. Vince Young and Johnson will once again led the offense.
Oddsmakers have made the Titans a 3.5-point favorite in this preseason matchup, while the over/under opened at 37 points.
