2010 NFL Preseason Week 3 Point Spreads & Over/Under Totals
If there were a week that could be concerned “important” in NFL preseason football, it’s Week 3 because the starters are expected to play deep into the second quarter. Let’s take a look at the odds.
For the first two weeks of the preseason, oddsmakers usually keep the point spreads under 3.5. But when Week 3 rolls around, that’s where bettors will start to find odds that are comparable to the regular season.
The action this week kicks off when the St. Louis Rams travel to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots. Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Patriots 7.5-point favorites over the Rams, while the over/under is currently sitting at 37.5 points. Rookie Sam Bradford is expected to start that game with A.J. Feeley nursing an injury.
Also on Thursday night, the Green Bay Packers will host Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in what could be a shootout. The over/under total for that game has been set at 44 points, while the Packers have been installed as a 3.5-point favorite.
On Friday, the Miami Dolphins are a home PK against the Atlanta Falcons, while the New York Jets are a 3.5-point favorite over the Washington Redskins. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are a PK, while the San Diego Chargers are 3-point underdogs at the New Orleans Saints.
