2011 NCAA College Football Week 8 Opening Point Spread Odds

(The Spread) - The 2011 College Football Season enters its eighth week of action and features a pair of games with top 25 teams facing off.

The big game this week has No. 16 Michigan State playing host to No. 6 Wisconsin at 8PM ET on ESPN. Wisconsin is 6-0 on the season while MSU is 5-1. Oddsmakers have made the Badgers a 7-point favorite on the road against Michigan State. The Spartans won last year’s meeting and the two teams have split the last eight in the series.

The other game featuring a pair of ranked teams has No. 8 Stanford hosting No. 25 Washington at 8PM ET on ABC. The Huskies are 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in Pac 12 play while Stanford is 6-0 on the year and 4-0 in Pac 12 play. The Cardinal has been given odds of -20 points at home against Washington, according to oddsmakers. Stanford has won the last three games in this series and five of the last six against Washington.
