By ATSSportsline.com

TEMPE, AZ (ATS Consultants) - Defensive-minded TCU and Michigan State will square off in the 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl at 10:15PM ET tonight. Who will cover?

GAME INFO: These two teams struggled in their own conferences, producing sub .500 records. TCU (7-5 SU, 5-7 ATS, 4-7 O/U) is coming off a 24-17 loss at home to Oklahoma, getting 6.5 on Dec. 1. Michigan State (6-6 SU, 4-8 ATS, 2-9-1 O/U) defeated Minnesota on the road, 26-10, giving 8, on Nov. 24. But they had lost four of their last five before that game. TCU takes on Michigan State from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona at 10:15pmET in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Saturday.

LINE MOVEMENT: TCU opened as a 3-point favorite and moved to 2.5 at most books. The total started at 40.5 and remained there in most books.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 70% of College Football public bettors currently favor the Horned Frogs. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL PICK: Take TCU. According to latest college football trends, TCU is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss, 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS loss and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. Michigan State is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Big 12, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win and is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.

Both teams have sturdy defenses. Michigan has one weapon on offense and that's running back Le'Veon Bell. QB Andrew Maxell, taking over for Kirk Cousins, threw for 13 TDs, nine picks and completed just 53% of his passes. TCU lost starting quarterback Casey Pachall after the fourth game of the season when he left school and checked into a rehab program for substance abuse after being arrested for DWI. But TCU is still led by their defense, which ranks 18th in the country in total defense. Freshman quarterback Trevone Boykin threw three interceptions in his first start. Boykin rebounded with a fabulous four-touchdown game against Baylor, but then battled with his consistency the rest of the season. Boykin finished with 15 TD passes and nine INTs, also rushing for 380 yards as TCU wound up eighth in the 10-team conference averaging 397.0 total yards. He still has the edge over Maxwell and that will be the difference for TCU on Saturday night.
