2012 NFL Week 1 Preseason Cowboys vs. Raiders Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

OAKLAND, CA (ATS Consultants) - This marks the first game for both teams in the preseason. Oakland hosts Dallas on Monday Night Football from Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum at 8pmET. This marks the preseason debut for new Oakland head coach Dennis Allen.

NFL Odds: The oddsmakers have installed the Raiders as a 1-point favorite. The total is 35 in most books.

Line Movement: Oakland opened as a 1.5-point favorite and moved down to 1 at most books. The total started at 34 and moved up to 35 in most books.

Public Betting: Of the wagers on tonight’s game, 56% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Cowboys. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take the under. The final game of preseason Week 1 goes on Monday night and this one screams low-scoring. These two teams of the seventies aren't quite what they used to be. Dallas should be improved defensively, especially in the backfield with the additions of Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr. Both Dallas starting WRs Dez Bryant and Miles Austin are expected to miss the game due to hamstring injuries. There's not a need to play Tony Romo more than a series or two. Carson Palmer gets the nod for the Raiders, though he probably won't play a lot. Oakland should be improved as well with two new corners in Shawntae Spencer and Ron Bartell. Expect both teams to focus on running the football.
