The Panthers lost split their first two games, winning last week at home against Miami, 23-17. The Jets lost both preseason games and have scored just nine points in two games.

New York is the only team in the NFL that has failed to score a touchdown through the first two weeks of the preseason, and they've put up an anemic 160.5 total yards and 3.0 yards per play in losses to Cincinnati (17-6) and the New York Giants (26-3). The Jets were particularly poor in last week's clash with the rival Giants, netting a paltry 148 total yards and going 1-of-13 on third downs against the defending Super Bowl champions. The offensive line has been terrible and has also allowed quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow to be sacked a total of seven times on the night. The Panthers should take advantage of the poor offensive and lack of a running game, while Cam Newton will put up enough points in the first half to get this win and cover.
