2012 NFL Week 3 Preseason Texans vs. Saints Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

NEW ORLEANS, LA (ATS Consultants) - Houston visits the Superdome on Saturday to face the Saints at 8pmET in New Orleans.

Houston won (SU/ATS) their first two games, beating Carolina and San Francisco. New Orleans has played three games and has lost 2 of 3. Last week, they fell at home to Jacksonville, 27-24. Last year, Houston beat the Saints in Week 2 of Preseason, 27-14, getting 2.5 at home.

Odds: The oddsmakers have installed the Saints as a 3-point favorite. The total is 44 in most books.

Line Movement: The Saints opened as a 4-point favorite and moved to 3 at most books. The total started at 43.5 and moved to 44 in most books.

Public Betting: Of the wagers on tonight’s game, 60% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Texans. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL FREE PICK: Take New Orleans over Houston. Houston is 3-10 ATS off an Under. New Orleans is 5-0 ATS in Week 3. The Saints are expected to use this as a dress rehearsal and it's important that the team gets to know interim coach Aaron Kromer. Fortunately the Saints are loaded offensively led by QB Drew Brees and WR Marques Colston. Brees lit up the Texans for 370 yards and three touchdowns to lift New Orleans to a thrilling 40-33 victory over Houston at the Superdome during Week 3 of the 2011 regular season. The Texans allowed their highest point and total yardage (454) amounts of the year in that defeat. The Texans can score but will have trouble slowing down that offense. The Saints have improved defensively from last season.
