2012 NFL Week 4 Preseason Patriots vs. Giants Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

NEW YORK, NY (ATS Consultants) - New England visits MetLife Stadium on Wednesday night to face the New York Giants at 7pmET from East Rutherford, N.J.

The Pats are 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS in the preseason after falling at Tampa Bay last week, 30-28. The Giants are 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS after losing to Chicago, 20-17 at home last week. Last year, the Giants beat New England on the road, 18-17 laying 8 in the final game of the preseason.

Odds: The oddsmakers have installed the Patriots as a 2-point favorite. The total is 40.5 in most books.
Line Movement: The Giants opened as a 2.5-point favorite and moved to +2 at most books. The total started at 42 and moved down to 40.5 in most books.

Public Betting: Of the wagers on tonight’s game, 55% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Patriots. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL FREE PICK: Take New England. The bottom line about this game is that the Giants start their season next Wednesday against Dallas, while New England starts on Sunday, Sept. 9. There's no reason to play any key players in this game at all. This might be a rematch of the Super Bowl (which the Giants won) but Tom Coughlin would rather see his team lose by 3 touchdown then to see somebody get hurt. New England has a quality up-and-coming quarterback in Ryan Mallett, who should see most of the time along with Brian Hoyer. Bill Belichick wants to see his team finish better, especially his second-string defense. They should do fine against David Carr and Ryan Perilloux as Eli Manning will take a breather.

NFL FREE PICK OF THE DAY: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -2
