2012 NFL Week 7 Ravens vs. Texans Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

HOUSTON, TX (The Spread) – The teams with the best records in the AFC will square off today when the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at 1:00PM ET.

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Texans are 6.5-point favorites over the Ravens, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48 points. Baltimore is 5-1 overall and 1-1 at home, while Houston is 5-1 overall and 2-1 at home

Line Movement: The Texans opened as a 4-point favorite but the spread has been bet up to 6.5 or 7 depending on the sports book. The total, meanwhile, has been bet up to 48 after it opened at 47.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 61% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Texans. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take Baltimore. According to latest NFL trends, the road team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams, while the Ravens are 7-1-1 against the number versus a team with a winning record. The Texans are 1-4-1 ATS in their lat six games in October and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games in Week 7. The loses of Ray Lewis and Ladarius Webb will certainly hurt but the Ravens have enough depth to keep things close. Look for Joe Flacco to step up and raise the level of his play versus a Houston defense that was torched for six touchdowns by Aaron Rodgers last week. The Ravens will keep this game close so take the 6.5 points.
