2012 NFL Week 9 Steelers vs. Giants Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

NEW YORK, NY (The Spread) – The game of the week in the NFL will take place in New York on Sunday when the Giants host the Steelers at 4:25PM ET. Will Pittsburgh cover as the underdog?

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are 3.5-point favorites over the Steelers, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47.5 points. Pittsburgh is 4-3 overall and 1-3 on the road, while New York is 6-2 overall and 3-1 at home.

Line Movement: The Giants opened as 3-point favorites over the Steelers but the line has been bet up to 3.5. The total, meanwhile, opened at 46.5 points and has been bet up to 47.5.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 52% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Steelers. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take Pittsburgh. According to latest NFL trends, the Steelers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in Week 9 and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games versus a team with a winning home record. The Giants, meanwhile, are 17-38-2 against the spread in their last 57 games in November. The Steelers have enough talent and more than enough motivation to win the game outright and considering this should be a field goal game either way, take the points as long as you’re getting the hook. Ben Roethlisberger won’t make the same mistakes that Tony Romo made a week ago in Dallas. Look for the Steelers to keep the game close throughout and potentially in it in the end.
