2013 Alamo Bowl Oregon vs. Texas Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

SAN ANTONIO, TX (The Spread) - Will Texas go out on top in Mack Brown's final game when it takes on Oregon in the Alamo Bowl tonight at 6:45PM ET?

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Oregon is a 14.5-point favorite over Texas while the over/under total is currently sitting at 67 points. The Ducks enter play with a 10-2 record overall and were 7-2 in the Pac-12 this year, while the Longhorns finished 8-4 overall and 7-2 in the Big 12.

LINE MOVEMENT: Oregon opened as a 14-point favorite but the spread has been bet up slightly to 14.5, while the over/under total opened at 66 and has been bet up to 67 or even 68 at some sports books.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 69% of College Football public bettors currently favor the Ducks. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING TRENDS: The Longhorns are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following an ATS loss, 5-0 ATS in their last six games versus Pac-12 opponents, and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games on grass. The Ducks are also 1-4 ATS in their last five versus a team with a winning record and 0-4 against the number in their last four games overall. One other thing to consider is the motivation factor for both teams. Oregon is used to playing in a BCS bowl so who knows if it will get up to take on Texas in a pre-New Years bowl, while Texas will be looking to send off Mack Brown with a victory. Take the points.
