2013 College Football Week 2 Oregon vs. Virginia Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (The Spread) -
Is there any chance that Virginia will hang with No. 2 Oregon this week when the two teams clash at 3:30PM ET?

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Oregon is a 22-point favorite over Virginia, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 61 points. In Week 1, the Ducks beat Nicholls State 66-3 and the Cavaliers edged past BYU, 19-16.

LINE MOVEMENT: Oregon opened as a 24-point favorite but the spread has been bet down as low as 21.5 at some online and Vegas sports books. As for the total, it opened at 60.5 and has been bet up to 61 or 61.5, depending on the sports book.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 90% of College Football public bettors currently favor Oregon. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICK: Take Oregon. According to latest college football trends, the Ducks are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games, 8-1 against the number in their last nine games overall, and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a winning record. On the other side, the Cavaliers are 0-7-1 against the spread in their last eight games in September, 1-7-1 against the number in their last nine home games, and 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine non-conference games. Virginia's defense might be able to hang with Oregon for a quarter or two, but eventually the Ducks are going to pull away. The Cavaliers simply don't have the offensive firepower to avoid a blowout.
