2013 College Football Week 2 Texas vs. BYU Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

PROVO, UTAH (The Spread) - Some pundits believe that Texas is a sleeper top 25 team this season. The Longhorns will get their first road test of 2013 tonight when they travel to BYU to take on the Cougars at 7:00PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Texas is a 7-point favorite BYU, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 55.5 points. In Week 1 the Cougars lost to Virginia 19-16 as a 2.5-point favorite, while the Long Horns beat New Mexico State 56-7 as a 44.5-point favorite.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Longhorns opened as a 6-point favorite but the spread has been bet up to 7 or 7.5 at most online and Vegas sports books. (Some places offer Texas at -6.) As for the total, it opened as 56.5 and has been bet down to 55.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 87% of College Football public bettors currently favor Texas. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICK: Take Texas According to latest college football trends, the Longhorns are 4-0 against the spread in their last four non-conference games, 4-1 against the number in their last five games in September, and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games versus a team with a losing home record. BYU, meanwhile, is 1-4 against the number in its lat five home games and 1-5 ATS in its last six games after allowing less than 275 total yards in its previous game. The Cougars weren't very impressive offensively last week versus the Cavaliers and they'll find things a lot tougher tonight versus a solid Longhorn defense.
