2013 Cotton Bowl Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

ARLINGTON, TX (ATS Consultants) - One of the bigger non-BCS bowls will take place tonight when Texas A&M and Oklahoma clash in the 2013 Cotton Bowl at 8:00PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Texas A&M is currently a 3-point favorite versus Oklahoma while the over/under total is now sitting at 72.5 points. The Aggies went 10-2 in the regular season and 6-2 in the SEC, while Sooners went 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the Big 12.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Aggies opened as 3-point favorites and that's where the line currently sits at the majority of online and Las Vegas sports books. As for the total, it has jumped slightly from 72 to 72.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 63% of College Football public bettors currently favor the Aggies. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL PICK: Take Oklahoma. According to latest college football trends, Texas A&M is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on fieldturf, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 bowl games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Big 12, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Bowl games and are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. Oklahoma is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games, 4-1 ATS last 5 in series and is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games.

Johnny Manziel went from redshirt freshman to Heisman Trophy winner. He led a Texas A&M team that lost two games including a 24-19 home loss to LSU on Oct. 20 and an opening loss to Florida, 20-17. But Oklahoma has their own outstanding quarterback in senior QB Landry Jones, who ranks fifth in the nation with 332.4 passing yards per game. He's 3-0 in bowl games. The Sooners scored 125 points in their last three games. Their O-line allowed just six sacks in nine Big 12 games. WR Kenny Stills has a team-high 11 TD receptions. WR Justin Brown has been solid since transferring from Penn State and also has returned 22 punts. On defense, FS Tony Jefferson has 113 tackles this year and might be playing his last game since he could be a high draft pick. The Sooners off the Big 12's top pass defense. Oklahoma has forced 14 turnovers in the last nine games, with 11 coming off picks. They should take advantage of the Aggies' pass defense, which allows 248 yards per game (83rd). The experience factor goes to Oklahoma, who knows how to get it done in bowl games.
