2013 Fiesta Bowl Kansas State vs. Oregon Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

PHOENIX, AZ (ATS Consultants) - Two teams that battled all year for a chance to go to the BCS title game will clash tonight when Kansas State takes on Oregon in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl.

GAME INFO: Oregon (11-1 SU, 7-5 ATS, 7-4 O/U) had a chance to play on Jan. 7, but a loss to Stanford at home in overtime, 17-14, cost them that opportunity. Kansas State (11-1 SU, 9-2-1 ATS, 7-4 O/U) lost their chance when they fell at Baylor, 52-24 on the road, giving 12 on Nov. 17. They bounced back with a win over Texas at home, 42-24, giving 10.5. Oregon travels to Glendale, Ariz., to take on Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium at 8:30pmET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Oregon is an 8.5-point favorite while the total is 76.

LINE MOVEMENT: Oregon opened as a 8.5-point favorite and remained there at most books. The total started at 79 and moved to 76 in most books.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 66% of College Football public bettors currently favor the Oregon. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL PICK: Take Kansas State. According to latest college football trends, Oregon is: 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games. Kansas State is: 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win, 12-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Collin Klein and the seventh-ranked Wildcats will try to keep up with the high-powered offense of the No. 5 Ducks. Klein finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting but may have cost himself a shot to win it with a season worst three interceptions and 39 rushing yards against Baylor. He did bounce back to run for 103 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-24 win over Texas. The senior rushed for 890 yards and threw for 2,490 this season while totaling 37 TDs, including 22 on the ground. The Kansas State average 40.7 points to rank among the FBS leaders. The Wildcats run defense held opponents to 99.3 rushing yards per game excluding the Baylor loss when they allowed a stunning 342. They take on one of the top rushing attacks in the nation, but Oregon can also be vulnerable against the run, giving up at least 190 rushing yards in four of its final seven games. That's where Kansas State will take care of this game, while controlling the clock and protecting the ball. This should be a close game as K-State should come out covering the game.
