2013 NFL Preseason Week 2 Steelers vs. Redskins Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

LANDOVER, MD (ATS Consultants) – Week 2 of the NFL preseason concludes tonight when the Redskins host the Steelers at 8:00PM ET.

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Redskins are currently 2.5-point favorites over the Steelers, while the over/under total is sitting at 39 points.

Line Movement: This game opened as a pick'em at most online sports books before the spread moved to Washington -2.5. As for the total, it opened at 38 and has been bet up to either 38.5 or 39, depending on the book.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 59% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Washington. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take the under. Washington enters their second preseason game with Kirk Cousins still as the starting quarterback and Robert Griffin III returning to practice. RGIII was hoping to play in the preseason but head coach Mike Shanahan wisely has held the injured quarterback out. Cousins faced Tennessee last week but now is facing a hungry Pittsburgh defense that held the Giants to 18 points and just 84 yards rushing on 33 carries. The Pittsburgh defense recorded four sacks, two fumble recoveries and held the Giants to just six third-down conversions in 16 attempts. Washington lacks the big-play capability of the Giants and will look to establish the run with Roy Helu and Alfred Morris. Expect Pittsburgh to be very vanilla as they attempt to find a consistent running game. They ran for 94 yards on 27 carries last week and threw for just 124 yards last week against the Giants. Ben Roethlisberger was 4-for-8 for just 35 yards as he tries to adjust to life without tight end Heath Miller (injured) and speedy wideout Mike Wallace (with Miami). Rookie running back Le'Veon Bell from Michigan State is competing with Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman for the starting spot. Expect this to be a low-scoring game.
