The Baltimore Ravens were victorious last week, defeating Atlanta 27-23 but didn't cover the 4.5. Their first-string was so bad that coach John Harbaugh had his offensive line start the third quarter. Defensively, they gave up 27 first downs and 170 rushing yards to Steven Jackson and company. Carolina didn't play much better as they allowed 25 first downs and nearly 400 total yards. The did pick Philadelphia quarterbacks off twice and kept them off the scoreboard in the second half but you can't continue to give up that many yards and not get scored on. Baltimore is expected to play their starters in the first half and some into the second half. Harbaugh has also pointed out that he intends to play to win, not just rest the starters. Last week, Tyrod Taylor and the second-string offense put up 20 points. Carolina has a solid back up quarterback in Derek Anderson.
