2013 NFL Week 2 Saints vs. Bucs Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

TAMPA, FL (The Spread) – NFC South rivals square off in Tampa today when the Buccaneers host the Saints at 4:05PM ET. Will New Orleans get to 2-0?

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Saints are 3-point road favorites versus the Buccaneers, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47 points. New Orleans won and covered against Atlanta in Week 1, while Tampa Bay lost and failed to cover as a small road favorite versus the Jets.

Line Movement: The Saints opened as a 3-point favorite and that’s where the line currently sits at the majority of online sports books. As for the total, it opened at 47 and hasn't moved either.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 83% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Saints. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Free Pick: Take New Orleans. According to latest NFL trends, the Saints are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in Tampa Bay and 7-3 against the number in the last 10 meetings overall. The Saints are also 5-1 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a losing record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games versus the NFC South. On the other side, the Bucs are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall and 9-25-1 ATS in their last 35 home games.

The Saints looked great defensively last week against Atlanta, sacking Matt Ryan repeatedly and holding the Falcons to only 17 points. Meanwhile, Drew Brees threw for over 350 yards with two touchdowns and continues to lead one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Meanwhile, Josh Freeman overslept and missed a team meeting last Monday and has reportedly been late for other team-related matters. With doubts setting in about Freeman's future in Tampa, look for the Saints to roll.
