2013 NFL Week 3 Preseason Bears vs. Raiders Picks & Predictions

OAKLAND, CA (ATS Consultants) – The Bears and Raiders were square off tonight at 10:00PM ET for Week 3 of the NFL preseason. Will Oakland pick up a win as an underdog?
NFL ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bears are 3.5-point favorites over the Raiders, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 38.5 points. Both teams enter this game have split their first two preseason games.
NFL LINEMOVEMENT: The Bears opened as 3.5-point favorites and they remain 3.5-point favorites at most online sports books, although some Vegas spots have Chicago as a 4-point fave. As for the total, it opened at 38.5 and that’s where it remains.
NFL PUBLIC BETTING: Of the bets that have been placed on this game, 75% currently favor Chicago. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure to click on the link for the latest public betting figures.
NFL FREE PICK: Take Oakland. According to latest NFL trends, the Bears are 5-1 against the spread coming off a straight up win since 2009, but they’re just 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games in Week 3.
The Oakland Raiders put up 20 points last week against New Orleans, including just seven in the first half. Their first string offense struggled to protect Matt Flynn, who still put up 124 yards on 12-of-16 passing.
Oakland still hasn't named a starting quarterback though its assumed that Flynn will win the job. He has to continue to progress and get in synch with his wideouts.
As for Chicago, they just lost third-string quarterback Matt Blanchard to a broken knuckle. He'll be replaced by Jordan Palmer, who will play the fourth quarter. This is the problem for the Bears, who also signed veteran Trent Edwards as insurance. Palmer's brother Carson started for the Raiders last year.
Both will play in this game and the Raiders will use Terrelle Pryor and either Matt McGloin or rookie Tyler Wilson to clean up.
Expect the Raiders to play to win.
