STANFORD, CA (The Spread) – No. 15 Stanford will look to bounce back from its loss to USC when it hosts Army at 5:00PM ET today.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Stanford is a 28-point favorite over visiting Army while the total for today's game is currently sitting at 53 points. The Cardinal opened as 27.5-point favorites before the line was bet up, while the total opened at 53 and that's where it currently sits.

Army held on to a 47-39 win over Buffalo last weekend as it covered a 3-point spread as a home favorite. The combined score sailed over the posted total of 52 points as the Black Knights rushed for 341 yards on 54 carries and also intercepted Bulls quarterback Joe Licata three times in the victory. Larry Dixon also rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries for Army.

Stanford failed in its first big test of the year, dropping a 13-10 decision to USC as a 3-point home favorite. The combined score fell well under the posted total of 52.5 points as quarterback Kevin Hogan threw for 285 yards and no interceptions but no touchdowns n the loss. The Cardinal fumbled four times in the game, losing two while forcing no turnovers defensively.

According to latest college football trends, the under is 8-1 in the Cardinal's last nine games versus a team with a winning record, 8-2 in their last 10 games overall and 4-1 in their last five home games. The under is also 4-0 in the Black Knights' last four games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and 5-1 in their last six games following a straight up win.
