NOTRE DAME, IN (The Spread) - One of the more storied rivalries in college football will be renewed tonight when No. 17 Notre Dame hosts Michigan at 7:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Notre Dame is a 3.5-point favorite over Michigan, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 56.5 points. The Fighting Irish opened as 6-point favorites but the spread has been bet down, while the total has been bet up since opening at 54.5.
This time around, Michigan had no problems with Appalachian State. The Wolverines easily disposed of the Mountaineers, routing App State 52-14 as a 28-point home favorite. The combined score went over the posted total of 53.5 as quarterback Devin Gardner threw three first-half touchdown passes in the rout.
Notre Dame rolled to a 48-17 victory over Rice as a 20.5-point home favorite in Week 1, while the combined score also sailed over the total of 52.5 points. Quarterback Everett Golson looked great in his return from a season-long suspension, completed 14-of-22 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. The Fighting Irish also rushed for 281 yards on 42 carries.
