2014 College Football USC vs. Stanford Week 2 Picks & Predictions

STANFORD, CA (The Spread) - Stanford Stadium hosts a great Pac-12 matchup today at 3:30PM ET when No. 11 Stanford hosts No. 15 USC.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinal is 2.5-point home favorites over the Trojans, while the total is currently sitting at 54 points. Stanford opened as a 4-point favorite but the number has been bet down, while the total opened at 51 and has been bet up.

The Trojans crushed Fresno State 52-13 as an 18.5-point home favorite in Week 1. The combined score went over the posted total of 58 as quarterback Cody Kessler threw for a career-high 394 yards in the win. Kessler also accounted for five touchdowns while freshman JuJu Smith hauled in four passes for 123 yards.

The Cardinal cruised to a 45-0 victory over FCS I-AA opponent UC Davis in its opener, covering as a 42.5-point home favorite. Kevin Hogan threw three touchdown passes in the victory, while Ty Montgomery returned a punt 60 yards for Stanford’s first score. Montgomery also finished with five catches for 77 yards and a score.
