INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – Will the Bengals get back on track after losing and tying the past two weeks? They’ll take on the red-hot Colts today at 1:00PM ET.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bengals are 3-point road underdogs versus the host Colts, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 50 points. As of this writing, 83% of public bettors currently favor Indianapolis minus the points.
LINE MOVEMENT: The Colts opened as 2.5-point favorites but the spread has been bet up to 3 at most online and Vegas sports books, while the total opened at 48.5 and has been bet up to 50.
SEASON RECORDS: The Bengals enter play with a 3-1 record and are 3-2 against the spread this season, while the Colts are 4-2 straight up and an impressive 5-1 against the number. While the under is 3-2 in Cincinnati’s five games this season, the over is 5-1 in Indianapolis’ six contests in 2014.
NFL FREE PICK: Take Cincinnati. According to latest NFL trends, the Bengals are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games versus a team with a winning record, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and 4-1 ATS in their last five games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. The Colts had some defensive issues against the Texans last Thursday and despite not having A.J. Green again this week, the Bengals should be able to move the ball effectively and keep Andrew Luck at least somewhat in check.
