2014 NFL Week 3 Preseason Vikings vs. Chiefs Picks & Predictions

KANSAS CITY, MO (ATS Consultants) - The Vikings and Chiefs will meet tonight at 8:00PM ET in their dress rehearsal for Week 1 of the regular season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chiefs are 3.5-point favorites over the Vikings, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 45 points. While Minnesota has won its first two preseason games, Kansas City split its first two exhibition games.
All eyes have been on rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who completed 16-0f-20 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in last week's game against the Cardinals. While he was facing Arizona's third-team defense, Bridegwater bounced back after struggling in Minnesota's first preseason game and even engineered a comeback victory on the Vikings' final offensive possession.
Things haven't been good in Kansas City, as the NFL suspended right tackle Donald Stephenson four games for violating the league's policy performance-enhancing drugs on Friday. Seeing as how second-year left tackle Eric Fisher has struggled, as well as the interior of the Chiefs' offensive line, Kansas City might have a difficult time building off of its playoff season a year ago. Receiver Dwayne Bowe was also suspended for Week 1 of the regular season after he too violated the league's substance-abuse policy.
NFL Week 3 Preseason Free Pick: Take the under. Jamaal Charles isn't going to play for the Chiefs, who are already struggling to open up holes and protect the quarterback. They should struggle to generate points, although their defense remains sound and should also hold the Vikings' offense in check.
