CLEVELAND, OH (The Spread) - Fresh off their upset win over the Saints in Week 2, can the Browns shock the NFL world again by beating the Ravens today at 1:00PM ET?
BALTIMORE: One week after blowing a late fourth-quarter lead in a loss to the Bengals, the Ravens bounced back last Thursday night with a 26-6 victory over the Steelers. Baltimore covered as a 2.5-point home favorite as Joe Flacco completed 21-of-29 passes for 166 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Without Ray Rice, the Ravens relied on Bernard Pierce, who rushed for 96 yards on 22 carries. The defense also held the Steelers to 202 passing yards and intercepted Ben Roethlisberger once in the victory. They’re now 1-1 on the year and 1-1 against the spread.
CLEVELAND: The Browns shocked the Saints as a 4.5-point home underdog last Sunday by covering outright in a 26-24 victory. Rookie Terrence West rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries while quarterback Brian Hoyer completed 24-of-40 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown without throwing an interception. Andrew Hawkins wound up being the leading receiver for Cleveland, catching six passes for 70 yards although Miles Austin matched Hawkins’ receptions and also added a touchdown. The Browns are now 1-1 straight up by 2-0 against the spread.
