2014 NFL Week 6 Bears vs. Falcons Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

ATLANTA, GA (The Spread) – Two explosive offenses and two brutal defenses will be on display today when the Falcons host the Bears at 4:25PM ET. Over, anyone?

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Falcons are 3-point home favorites over the Bears while the over/under total is currently sitting at 53.5 points. As of this writing, just under 60% of the betting public currently favors Atlanta minus the points.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Falcons opened as 3-point favorites and that’s where the line currently sits at most online and Vegas sports books, although some places have bumped the line up to 3.5. The total, meanwhile, opened at 54 and has been bet down to slightly to 53.5.

SEASON RECORDS: The Bears and Falcons both enter play this weekend with 2-3 records straight up and 2-3 records against the spread, respectively. The over is 4-1 in Chicago’s five games this season and 3-2 in Atlanta’s five contests in 2014.

NFL FREE PICK: Take the over. According to latest NFL trends, the over is 6-0 in the Bears’ last six games against NFC opponents, 19-7 in their last 26 games overall and 22-6 in their last 28 games versus a team with a losing record. The over is also 9-3 in the Falcons’ last 12 home games, 5-1 in their last six games versus a team with a losing record and 5-2 in their last seven games versus NFC opponents. If you want to see a couple of explosive offenses run it up against two dumpster fire defenses, tune into this game. The over may hit early in the third quarter.
