2015 Super Bowl XLIX Opening Odds - Seahawks Favored to Win

LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - With Super Bowl XLVIII in the books, let's take a look at the opening odds for the 2015 NFL title game.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Seahawks have opened as the favorites to win Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. Seattle is a 9/2 favorite, while the 49ers have the next-best odds at 15/2 and the team that the Seahawks beat in last season's title game, the Broncos, are 8/1. The Patriots are also 14/1 while the Packers are 16/1 and the Saints are 18/1.
The first team listed with odds that did not make the playoffs in 2013 is the Falcons, who are 25/1 to win Super Bowl XLIX. The Panthers are also 25/1, as are the Bears, Bengals and Eagles, respectively. The Colts and Chiefs are 28/1, respectively, while the Cardinals, Cowboys, Lions, Giants, Steelers and Chargers are all 33/1, respectively.
Continuing with the long shots, the Ravens, Texans, Rams and Redskins are all 40/1, respectively, while the Dolphins, Jets, Buccaneers and Titans are all 50/1, respectively. The Browns are 66/1, while the Bills, Vikings and Raiders are all 75/1, respectively. The team with the worst odds to win next year's Super Bowl? It's the Jaguars at 100/1.
Super Bowl XLIX is scheduled for February 1, 2015 and will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, which is the home of the Cardinals. NBC will have the broadcast and it will be the second Super Bowl hosted by the stadium. the first was in 2008 when the Giants shocked the undefeated Patriots 17-14 as a double-digit underdog.
