The 2016 college football season doesn’t kick off until September but bettors can start placing wagers on future odds and on the most prestigious individual award, the Heisman Trophy.
Oddsmakers at 5Dimes.eu, a major offshore sportsbook, opened up numbers in February and to no surprise another quarterback is favored.
The top betting choice is Deshaun Watson, the dual-threat signal caller from Clemson. He's listed at +500 (Bet $100 to win $550) and finished third in the 2015 Heisman Trophy voting.
Alabama running back Derrick Henry captured last year's coveted award, barely beating out Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey. The multi-purpose back and returner is back at Stanford and listed right behind Watson at +550 odds.
