Derelle Revis continue to holdout and all is far from perfect in Jets-land. New York did win and cover (9-3 over Carolina as underdog) despite having 112 yards of total offense and they are 17-6 ATS after scoring 14 points or less last game. NFL- San Diego at New Orleans 8:00 EDT CBS
It is common knowledge you don’t win in the NFL without superior quarterback play and this confrontation features a pair of former teammates doing battle. Drew Brees career has taken off after suffering shoulder injury in San Diego and signing with New Orleans, leading them to be Super Bowl champions. Brees’ former backup Philip Rivers continues to lead one of the more talented rosters in the AFC and looks to create the same magic for his club this season. Both head coaches of the teams have supplied mixed signals about the length of time the starters will play, but those betting football have hit the total with abandon. This game opened at 41.5 and was boosted to 44 points (some sportsbooks are even higher). With both signal callers performing at mid-season form, the increased total works, as bettors moving Saints games upward at this rate have 8-1 record and the Chargers are 9-0 OVER after allowing 200 or less total yards in their previous contest.
NFL- Philadelphia at Kansas City 8:00 EDT
Fans of Kansas City will get their first live look at the 2010 Chiefs, however, online sports betting football bettors have already made a determination about tonight’s matchup with Philadelphia. With Pittsburgh coming to Brew Town, the Brewers catch the Pirates in the midst of a 10-game road losing streak and they are a baseball worst 13-48 visitor, which includes having lost 34 of last 38. The city has Milwaukee has a zillion different festivals all summer long and the major one this week is MexicanFest, but a trip to this town is hardly festive for Pittsburgh, who has been on the short end of the scoreboard as the road team at Miller Park 27 of the previous 30 times since 2007. Though the Bucs took series against St. Louis at home, they are 14-46 in road games having won two of their last three. Forget nuclear fusion when simple deductive reasoning will do.
