Arkansas at Georgia CFB Week 3 Pick & Prediction
By Drew Sharper
Arkansas may be buzzing in the college football world, but can it pick up a win on the road when it takes on Georgia on Saturday?
Georgia is a 2.5-point favorite at home against Arkansas according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com. The over/under has been set at 53.5
Georgia is 1-1 against the spread this season and the Bulldogs have hit the over and under once. The Bulldogs are just 3-7 ATS in lined home games since 2008 and 4-11 ATS against conference opponents during that stretch. Georgia doesn’t have many over/under trends but one to consider is that they have hit the over in 3-of-4 games since 2008 where the line is +3 to -3.
Arkansas is 0-1 against the spread this season while hitting the under in the one lined game. The Razorbacks are 4-1 ATS after two or more consecutive straight up wins since 2008 while going 9-7 ATS since 2008 against conference opponents. Arkansas has typically hit the over as they have hit the over in 3-of-4 games since 2008 when the line is +3 or -3 and in 17-of-24 games since 1992 with the line at +3 to -3.
Georgia is coming off the tough loss to South Carolina last week and still without star receiver A.J. Green. Arkansas has a lot of hype coming into the season, but facing its first real test on Saturday. The Razorbacks have lost their last seven SEC road games and still have a lot to prove. With the Bulldogs having to win this game to stay in the SEC title hunt, we like Georgia. The points aren’t much and we like the over to hit in a shootout.
