As you know, Bodog always has the favorites laying a half a point or a point more more times that not. They also love to throw in -130 and -140 on you making it hard to bet that side. I have found a way to combat that a little by using teasers. The games I like this Sunday are both a ridiculous -130 and -140, so instead of laying the huge price I knocked it down by teasing them. I did have to lay -130 because i wanted the full 7 point teaser to get the numbers I liked. Anyone else like this idea?

The regular lines I get on the 2 games I like are

Indianapolis Colts

-3½ (+110)

Houston Texans

+3½ (-130)

Monday night football

New England Patriots

+3 (-140)

New Orleans Saints

-3 (+120)

I do not like this idea.

If you read some of my previous posts on the subject you will see I feel strongly that teasers and parlays are for suckers.

I propose the way to combat the favorite price is to have several online accounts so you can shop around for the best numbers. Bodog is a great place to bet dogs, other places are great places to bet faves.

My personal favorite online books are

BetEd

BetUS

and

The Greek

I have never bet a favorite at Bodog or sports interaction...those are sites you play the dawgs...

I thought you only played certain places because of limits on online checks?

Lots of good places to play out there if you are able to get your money in.

I am not a fan of Beted and Betus is essentially a Bodog clone. Greek is a favorite though.

I best mostly dogs, so bodog is a good site for me. Only bad thing is limit on 3k Canadian check a week. Luckily I laid my bet off on the Pats and broke even. Good point about teasers Michael. I have done ok with them but have only placed a few. I usually try to middle the 2nd game if I win the first one. Thanks for your thoughts!

I use to love BoDog and those instant 10% reload bonuses and small rollovers. ;D

The good old days are long gone. :'(

Wasn't that long ago Canadians couldn't even play there so 3k a week is pretty good.

They still run those reloads from time to time Blade, just have to watch out for them

I just remember when they were 24/7 and didn't even matter if your last transaction was a withdrawal. ;D
