Sat 1st, March 2008

Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills acquired defensive tackle Marcus Stroud from the Jacksonville Jaguars for undisclosed draft picks on Saturday.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Stroud will be entering his eighth season after spending the previous seven with the Jaguars. He served a four-game suspension last year for violating the leagues substance abuse policy.

The 6-6, 310-pounder has played in 100 career games, starting 84, after being taken by Jacksonville in the first-round of the 2001 draft. He has 274 tackles to go with 22 sacks in his career.

The Bills also signed free agent defensive tackle Spencer Johnson. They did not release terms of the deal for Johnson.

Johnson joins the Bills after spending the past four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, who signed the 6-3, 286-pounder as a free agent in 2004.

In 49 games, nine starts, he has 108 tackles and four sacks.

On Friday, the Bills signed former New York Giants linebacker Kawika Mitchell to a multi-year deal.
