As most of you are aware Blade has been MIA for a few days. What some of you may not know is that Blade has been with me for over 10 years and never missed a single day during all that time.
Last week he was hosting some friends from out of town for the holidays and he wrote me he was going to take some time for himself while they were there and would only be working in the mornings. But on Friday he didn't show up at all. And then he didn't show up on Saturday or Sunday or Monday either. Like I said, this is totally out of character for this guy.
I emailed him several times and got no reply so finally today I gave him a call. His sister answered and told me that on Friday morning he had a massive heart attack. Currently he's still in the hospital on a machine but she is hopeful that he is going to recover. I gave her my contact info and she's gonna keep me posted and if there is anything new to report I will share that with you guys. Please keep him in your prayers, he's going to need them.
In the meantime until he is back with us I want to first off thank Bama for stepping up to post the service plays. I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea how Blade does what he does nor where it all comes from so Bama's help has been invaluable these last couple of days. I'd also like to encourage all of you to participate in posting plays if you have any as well to help Bama out. My only request is that you make sure you aren't posting any plays from people who support the site financially like ATS, the guys at Doc's etc.
Anyway, that's about it for now. Pretty sad day around here but I'm praying that our friend will pull through and be ok.
I feel really bad that I didn't see this post sooner. Blaze does an outst"anding job and he's always reliable to get us the info day after day. I wish him and his family all the best PLEASE keep us updated.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm just trying to help out til Blade gets back. Mike will post an update on Blades status as soon as he knows something.

I think it goes without saying that we are all hopeful he is gonna be alright and able to come back soon. But I'll be completely honest with everyone, it didn't sound good when I spoke to his sister.
At this point I'm kinda waiting for her to reach out to me, I don't want to bother them. But based on what I know which isn't much it doesn't sound like a situation where he's gonna just walk out of the hospital and be ok, it sounds like there is likely to be a long recovery period if he is able to pull through.
So, I'll let everyone know in this thread when I hear anything but I don't plan to contact them until at least mid next week but if I hear from Blade or his family before that I will definitely post that update.
And again, thanks to Bama for the help. We're definitely lucky he was able to step in and help out.

I said many times in the past his work here is invaluable, and the time and information he provides, you can't put a price tag on , his health and recovery is more important then anything, any post, any thread, this is stressful work and a stressful business, what ever time he needs is most important, and if it staying from all this, so be it health and family is more important, all this we do here, and what Nick and I do on my sites doesn't mean shit guys, this shit is secondary, health and family

Not much for praying but I’ll say one for Blade as I sit here in my hotel room in Utah. Seems like a genuinely good dude.

So... This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write here in the almost 20 years I’ve owned this business. But, Blade has passed away.
As you guys were pressing me for info Friday I actually got an email from him before I got a chance to call. Unfortunately, it wasn’t him writing me it was his sister telling me she lost my number and letting me know that he died Friday.
I really don’t even know what to say right now except to say that the world and the gambling family has lost a really good dude.
When I first met Mark he just came here as a regular poster because he liked the site. As time went on he starting bringing people to the site with what he was posting because he could find shit nobody else even knew existed. That is how our friendship started and that is how he started working here. That was over a decade ago.
I haven’t lost anyone in a long time and I certainly have never lost anyone who was employed by me. It’s a really weird feeling to say the least.
Like I said, I don’t really know what to say right now but I just wanted to let you all know that he’s gone. RIP
