The mileage on this course is 8000 plus but do to the location and thin air the PRO will get an additional 8-12% more in distance on there shots then they would at sea level, eg we have played our annual golf trip at myrtle beach going on 38 years, I will never forget, due to playing at sea level what the pro at oyster bay told me ten years ago, I normally would use a 7 iron at 150 out, he told me and our group go 1-2 clubs more 5 or 6 to achieve the same distance when play at sea level due to the heat and humidity to get there, in all the and all the courses we have played down there he was the only PRO at every course we have played to explain y you needed to take 1-2 more club drop down to achieve the same distance, this is a small sample size, but we took heed too what he said, the pros will need to adjust from the heat and humidity from last week to Denver now, as they will gain 8-12 % more in distance this week, with all club be it the driver 3-4-5 wood and irons 1 the driving iron through 9
Besides scheff and schauff being the odds on favs to win I will throwing in pat cantly he has been at 2-3 in driving accuracy and strokes gained in and around the green and approach play when entering the playoffs, but all the players this week will gain driving distance, the accuracy will be the critical part, hazards will come into play on this course more so then similar courses on the tour, we will firm up our starting cards tom brothers
