Boise State vs. Toledo College Football Free Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome
(The Spread) - Seeing as how Toledo gave Ohio State trouble last weekend, No. 4 Boise State needs to be on its toes tonight.
Odds: The Broncos crushed the Rockets 57-14 last season as a 38-point favorite, but that was in Boise. With the game in Toledo this time around, odds makers have installed the Broncos as 20-point favorites for tonight’s 8:00PM ET. The over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 59.5 points.
Line Movement: The Broncos opened as 17.5-point favorites in Las Vegas but the spread has quickly climbed since then. The line is now up to -20 in Vegas, while the over/under total is 60 after opening at 60 at the LV Hilton.
Public Betting: Of the 8,000-plus wagers on tonight’s game, 76% of college football public bettors currently favor the Broncos -20. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for updated public betting numbers.
College Football Free Pick: Take Toledo. According to latest college football trends, the Rockets are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games in September and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall. They’re also 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss. As they proved last week in Columbus, this Rocket team isn’t a pushover. Their offense is explosive and while they don’t want to get into shootout with Kellen Moore and Boise, the Rockets should be able to keep things someone close at home.
