Western Kentuck -7 4u
Ill take the conference champs to win and cover the 7
Should be a blow out imo.
The WKU defense against Alabama seems like a better showing than Memphis beating Houston right? While defensive stats may be misleading when in a direct comparing against Memphis, given the Memphis schedule, can WKU stop Memphis?
Memphis doesn't really have any "bad" losses, except maybe south Florida. But that WKU schedule was pretty lax in comparison, the Alabama game was a long time ago.
My only thought here is Memphis played their best game last time out, are they really that motivated here? In a shoot out, taking a touchdown here seems like the obvious play.
I posted to you yesterday tom, almost the same thing, mindset no salaries involved here, all motivation and mindset, of these teams, these kids have a long lay off till there bowl arrives, and with coaching changes, more, with the smaller school coaches, who go to larger programs, some of these players look at it like being abandoned, and some by this time of the year, just don't give a shit , hard to gauge, but this game here will b a track meet whoever has the ball last, u guys know i fade the public, and search line moves, when it favors the dog, the public will be right on this game, look for a track meet from start to finish, i do believe, whats nice also about an over play, it's based on both teams, not begging for 1 to cover, which we all have to do most of the time, early 1st q line was 17, half 41 and i bought it down to 78, not that i think i will need it, but sitting on 65 yesterday, at the opposeing 10 yrd. line and need 68, and don't get it, a little ins. today
Memphis has been hot going into the end of the season. They play in better conference and had a tougher schedule. Hilltoppers also lost their HC and we saw how ugly the Houston Cougars looked.
My x factor is the running game. So much talk about both qbs but lets not forget that memphis gives up almost 200 on the ground a game. Hilltops held the no1 team in in tuscaloosa to their LOWEST yards per run of the season.
Hilltoppers can run the ball and stop the run. I forget where I saw his but trends show teams that win the rushing yards total usually wins and covers the spread.
true very true, but the problem is where are there heads at, coll. ball all emotion, up down, there heads get fucked up, as they get close to these games, look at the teams with shit records who just make it, and play like they are 11-0, whatever these teams did during the year, to me means nothing, this is there super bowl, and if i can't find a good enough reason, do to public perception, or line moves due to sharp or other money, I will always lean towards an over play, with teams like this that have there firepower, it's less stress to route for 2 teams instead of needing 1to win your bet
That was either Dave Cokin or the Marc Lawrence publication about rushing defense.. which I agree with. But I have to think Memphis giving up so many rushing yards is partially due to their schedule and WKU rushing for so many yards is also due to their schedule.
The opening line in this game was 4.5.
The total has gone back down to 79 from at least 81.5.. if WKU has a game plan it could be to run the ball to control tempo.
How come everyone in here is having a productive discussion and nobody is insulting or disrespecting anyone else?
I've got my eye on you guys, something fishy about this thread.
Mike you should have your own show on the comedy channel
Mike you should have your own show on the comedy channel, I never saw that line move above 80, I must have missed something flipping back and forth on many diff. things I know where it opened
