CFB Week 9 Odds & Trends - Indiana heads to Iowa

No. 7 Iowa can keep its perfect season and national title hopes alive on Saturday when the Hawkeyes host Indiana on Saturday at Noon ET from Kinnick Stadium.

Bet Indiana at Iowa

The Hawkeyes are 8-0 on the year and 5-2 against the spread. Despite the unbeaten record, Iowa has struggled on offense, ranking among the bottom of the Big Ten in points per-game (23.6) and yards per-game (342.1). The struggles for the offense will likely continues as Iowa lost starting running back Adam Robinson for the season with an ankle injury last week. Ricky Stanzi has thrown for 1,715 yards and 12 touchdowns, but has eight interceptions. On defense, Iowa is among the best in the conference, totaling a conference-high 15 interceptions as a team. Iowa is holding opponents to 14.8 points and 296.5 yards per-game.

The Hoosiers are 4-4 on the season and 5-2 against the spread in 2009. Indiana, like Iowa, is scoring 23.6 points per-game, and is averaging 360 yards per-game. Ben Chappell has thrown for 1,827 yards and eight touchdowns with seven interceptions. Tandon Doss has caught 54 passes for 716 yards and two scores while Darius Willis has rushed for 405 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Indiana is allowing 26.5 points and 392.5 yards per-game, including a conference worst 1,973 passing yards. Indiana has won two of the last three meetings with Iowa.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Iowa 17.5-point home favorites over Indiana on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 47.5.
