College Football East Carolina vs. South Carolina Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

COLUMBIA, SC (The Spread) - After getting embarrassed at home by Texas A&M in its opener, No. 9 South Carolina looks to rebound tonight versus East Carolina at 7:00PM ET.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, East Carolina is a 15.5-point road underdog versus South Carolina, while the total is currently sitting at 65 points. The Gamecocks opened as 15.5-point favorites, while the total opened at 63 before being bet up two full points.

East Carolina had no problem disposing FCS I-AA North Carolina Central in its opener, winning 52-7 as a 39.5-point favorite. The combined score also went over the posted total of 57.5. Quarterback Shane Carden threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, while Isaiah Jones had a game-high 10 catches for 150 yards and a score.

In one of the bigger surprises of Week 1, South Carolina was stomped 52-28 in its home opener as Texas A&M rolled to victory as a 9.5-point underdog. Dylan Thompson completed 20-of-40 passes for 366 yards with four touchdowns and one interception, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a Gamecocks defense that allowed A&M signal-caller Kenny Hill to throw for 511 yards and three touchdowns on 44-of-60 passes.
