College Football Florida State vs. N.C. State Picks & Predictions

RALEIGH, NC (The Spread) - After holding on last week against Clemson, No. 1 Florida State will once again be put to the test today when it visits undefeated N.C. State at 3:30PM ET.
FLORIDA STATE: The Seminoles have jumped out to a 3-0 start in their title defense season, although they're 0-3 at the betting window this year. The under has also hit in two of their first three games, although the combined score has gone over in their lone road game this season. Jameis Winston leads the team in passing with 626 yards, while Karlos Williams has a team-high 177 rushing yards and Rashad Greene has 418 yards receiving with two touchdowns. Winston has been reinstated following his one-game suspension last week for what was deemed inappropriate behavior on FSU's campus.
N.C. STATE: With their 42-0 victory over Presbyterian last week, the Wolfpack improved to 4-0 on the year and 2-2 against the spread as they covered as a 40-point home favorite. The over is 2-2 in their games this year but the under is 2-1 in N.C. State's first three home games. Jacoby Brissett leads the team with 1,005 passing yards while Shadrach Thornton has a team-high 283 yards rushing and Matt Dayes has a total of six touchdowns on the young season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Florida State is a 19-point favorite over N.C. State while today's total is currently sitting at 58 points. The Seminoles opened as 27.5-point favorites before the line dropped, while the total opened at 58 and hasn't budged.
NCAA FREE PICK: Take N.C. State. According to latest college football trends, the Seminoles are just 3-13-1 against the spread in their last 17 games versus the Wolfpack and 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games on the road versus N.C. State. They're also 4-9 against the number in their last 13 road games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. On the other side, the Wolfpack are 4-1 against the number in their last five games in September and 16-4-1 ATS in their last 21 home games versus a team with a winning road record.
