NASHVILLE, TN (The Spread) - Will No. 18 Ole Miss get its offense on track today at 4:30PM ET when it hosts a Vanderbilt team that was blown out in its opener?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Ole Miss is a 19.5-point favorite over host Vanderbilit, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 49.5 points. The Rebels opened as a 14-point favorite but the line has shot up, while the total opened at 50.5 and has fallen.
Ole Miss struggled against Boston State in its opener but eventually pulled away from the Broncos in a 35-13 victory. Quarterback Bo Wallace struggled in the win, throwing four touchdown passes but also tossing three interceptions on 25-of-36 passing (387 yards). Ole Miss' offense got rolling in the fourth quarterback, racking up 28 points to sink Boise State.
The Commodores stunk in their opener, losing 37-7 to Temple at home as an 8.5-point favorite. The combined score fell under the posted total of 44 points as Stephen Rivers completed 12-of-25 passes for 186 yards in the loss. Vanderbilt used three different quarterbacks in the game and clearly had issues building any kind of continuity on offense.
