College Football Predictions Week 11: Houston vs. Central Florida

No. 13 Houston looks to continue to pile up the points on Saturday when the Cougars face Central Florida at Noon ET from Bright House Networks Stadium.

Bet Houston at Central Florida

Houston is 8-1 on the season and 6-2 against the spread. The Cougars have won five straight and covered in four of their last five games. The two betting short comings for Houston came on the road and in conference. These two have only met twice and split the two previous games.

Central Florida is 5-4 on the year and 6-2 against the spread. Prior to last week’s 35-3 loss to Texas, the Knights had won two straight. Three of UCF’s four losses come on the road.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made Houston 4.5-point road favorites over Central Florida on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 63.

The Cougars have the top offense in the country, scoring 42.1 points per-game while racking up an impressive 577.9 yards per-contest. Case Keenum has unreal stats, throwing for 3,815 yards with 28 touchdowns and just five interceptions. Keenum has completed 71 percent of his passes and will lead Houston down the field more times than not.

The key in this pick comes down to Central Florida being able to match scores with Houston. The Cougars are going to put up a lot of points, but in the same breath, they tend to give up a lot of points as well. Brett Hodges has to play well at quarterback for UCF. He currently has 1,558 yards passing with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Brynn Harvey has rushed for 679 yards and seven touchdowns, but the Knights may not be in a situation to run consistently if they are trying to keep pace with the Houston offense.

We suggest a pick of Houston in this game because the UCF offense doesn’t appear to have the same fire power. With the point spread less than a touchdown, it seems to favor the Cougars. Look for Keenum to post a lot of scores for Houston and for the Knights to score between 21-31 points to cover the over.

Our College Football Week 11 Free Pick for this matchup is: HOUSTON -4.5 and OVER 63.
