College Football USC vs. Boston College Picks & Predictions

CHESTNUT HILL, MA (The Spread) – Following its upset win over Stanford last Saturday, No. 9 USC will look to avoid a letdown when it visits Boston College at 8:00PM ET tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, USC is a 17-point favorite over Boston College while the total is currently sitting at 55 points for tonight's game. The Trojans opened as 20-point favorites before the line was bet down, while the total opened at 51 and has been bet up.
The Trojans upset Stanford 13-10 as a 3-point road underdog last week, while the combined score fell well under the posted total of 52.5 points. Quarterback Cody Kessler only put the ball in the air 22 times as he completed 15 of those passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. Of course, he didn't have to throw it much with Javorius Allen rushing for 154 yards on 23 carries. Nelson Agholor also caught nine passes for 91 yards in the win.
As for the Eagles, they fell 30-20 to Pittsburgh as a 5-point home underdog. Tyler Murphy completed 10-of-28 passes for 134 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, while also rushing 16 times for 92 yards and a score. Shakim Phillips did most of the damage in the receiving game, as he caught four passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side, the Trojans are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 non-conference games, 3-11 ATS in their last 14 road games and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up win.
