You can bet a minimum 3-team parlay, but can't bet straight bets! A three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S.Circuit of Appeals, "are they tied with the mob?" said that Delaware's plan, which included single game wagering violated federal law! I did not see any payoff odds for the 3 team minimum as of yet. It will be interesting.
Let's see here, if one game was fixed and they payed either 6 to 1 or 6 for 1 on their parlay, then there would be 4 ways to cover two teams and you could get straight bet money or 2 to 1, depending on the payout if there was a fix. I don't see how this eliminates the chance of fixing. This is just a guess, but I would like to see the federal law a straight bet violates. They did not disclose this information.
No doubt Delaware got hosed with this decision and will sue in the future to get this decision overturned but that could take years to shake out.
I truly think Delaware would go with straight bets if they had the software and equipment but no company will go near it with the possibility of a federal suit and actions for supplying them with the software and the equipment needed to take straight bets.
Straight bets are evil but endorsing people to throw away money on lottery scratch off tickets is okie dokie.
Dallas Cowboys Lottery Scratch Card Launched
August 10 - In a bid to attract new players, the Texas Lottery has launched a brand new Dallas Cowboys scratch card lottery game, which should have fans of the Lone Star State's beloved NFL team scratching every which way but Tuesday in a bid to win some of the lucrative cash prizes on offer.
On Monday last week, the Texas Lottery Commission announced that it will officially make available the Dallas Cowboys' scratch-off lottery tickets on Monday August 17. At a cost of $5 each, the lottery scratch cards can win players cash prizes as high as $100,000, as well as football-related prizes.
These include access to exclusive stadium suites, private stadium tours, and tickets and airfares to the Cowboys' away games. But the Texas team are not the only NFL team that have seen the 'lottery light' as they are just the latest in a long line of teams that have gone over to the 'lucrative lottery' side.
Said NFL spokesperson, Brian McCarthy, 'Over the past few years we've examined this category carefully, and finally decided to ease our restrictions.' McCarthy was referring to the NFL's history of distancing itself from all forms of gambling following the infamous Chicago White Sox scandal of 1919.
Now, however, it seems that American football's governing body is only happy to endorse a form of gambling that cannot influences the outcome of NFL games. 'We still maintain strict restrictions on affiliations with gambling based on the outcome of NFL games, but this does not apply to scratch cards,' said McCarthy.
The Texas Lottery Commission is set to print 12 million Dallas Cowboys scratch-offs and 4.5 million Texans tickets. The new Cowboys lottery scratch tickets are expected to raise around $10 million for the Foundation School Fund, a major public education funding source in the state of Texas.
In terms of boasting their own lottery scratch ticket, the NFL is playing catch up. In 2007, MLB's Texas Rangers and Houston Astros had their own scratch-off tickets and in 2008 the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets had their own lottery scratch-off games.
eventually the NFL and NCAA will have to deal with this, it is a big source of revenue, that finally in desperate times, may be considered ok now. Betting should have been legal years ago, the technology is there, and there are ways to police it, they have game film, it should be easy
the state of oregon used to have "sports action"
the line would come out on wed morning
minimum 3 team payed 5 to 1
4 team was 10 to 1
20 max per ticket
you could play as many as 14 but sometimes a 5 pick would have less odds than 10 to 1 because it was considered "pari-mutual" which is a fancy word for all winners split winnings.
Sundays @ the sports bar I used to work @ were awesome. My tips were around $200 and sometimes people would give me a 5 dollar ticket @ 10 - 1 = extra 50 bucks
Monday night football offered the normal side and total, and also over unders on total yards, sacks, ints, and so on.
I never heard why they got rid of it a couple of years ago, but i would drive from boise to the oregon state line once a month to get some action and have a nice lunch w/ my girlfriend over a couple of beers... man i miss those days

I played this for years and you could find some value with it since it came out on Tuesday actually, they were not allowed to take games off and with injuries and such you would just key on Sunday Night/Monday games and hedge back. This was a gold mine in pre season since you would get great numbers with starter info later in the week. The only value was with 3 and 4 teamers since 5 teamers and up were pari mutual payouts,
They dropped it so they could get NCAA playoff games here which didnt make the bar owners and others to happy, you go in a bar now on Sunday and nobody is there anymore.
