The Steelers come into tonight’s game with a 5-2 record. They’ve covered in four of their first seven games, although they’re just 2-2 against the spread on the road despite being 3-1 straight up.
The Bengals are a disappointing 2-5 and have failed to cover in all but two games this season. They’re also 1-2 at home and failed to cover in two of those three games at Paul Brown Stadium.

People keep waiting for this team to flip a switch and revert back to the squad that won the AFC North last season but it’s not going to happen. Especially not tonight against a Pittsburgh team that’s still steamed about losing to the Saints last week in New Orleans. The Steelers are 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine meetings against the Bengals in Cincinnati and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. The road team is also 12-4-1 ATS in the last 17 games between these two squads and the Bengals have failed to cover in their last four games overall. The Bengals’ lack of pass rush will doom them tonight against a quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger who likes to take shots down field. Cincinnati’s secondary has been banged up over the past couple of weeks too, which has hindered its success. After the Bengals put up an early fight, we like the Steelers to pull away in the second half and cover the six points. Our pick is Pittsburgh –6.
