Four points is all that stands between South Carolina and a unbeaten season thus far, as the Gamecocks are 4-1 with the lone loss coming at Georgia, 41-37. Since the loss, South Carolina has won three-straight, scoring 38 points in two of the victories. Stephen Garcia has thrown for 1,035 yards and six touchdowns on the year for the Gamecocks, while Jarvis Giles has rushed for 231 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, the Gamecocks rank third in the SEC in fewest yards allowed per-game at 264 yards per-contest.

After a 2-0 start to the year, Kentucky has lost back-to-back games to Florida and Alabama. The Gamecocks will be Kentucky’s third straight game against a ranked opponent. Kentucky has struggled on offense, ranking last in the SEC in passing yards and third to last in rushing yards. Mike Hartline has thrown for 653 yards and five touchdowns with six interceptions while Derrick Locke leads the rushing attack with 244 yards and two scores. On defense, the Wildcats rank third in fewest passing yards allowed at 652, but are allowing 26 points per-game.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BetOnline have made South Carolina 9.5-point home favorites over Kentucky on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 46.
