What a bad rule this is! This is putting the outcome of the game in the officials hands. You can not challenge it. It has made a 14 point difference in the NYG/OAK game. Kansas City might be up more than they are right now. Anyone else have any input on this?

I feel your pain, never happy when things go against me either.

But what is the alternative and the consequences?

Removing it? How happy are you gonna be when your team has the ball and then end up going backwards 25 yards instead of 5?

Allowing a challenge? I don't even see how that could work because all that does it take the decision out of the human on the field and put it in the hands of the human in the booth. I doubt you are gonna be happy with either.

It's one of the necessary evils and I guarantee forward progress has worked out in your favor more than it's went against you.

Penalties are like bad beats in poker, you don't remember the ones that help you out and give you a cover when you really don't deserve it, you stick to the ones that fuck you and cost you $$$

haha they switched games for me. No more Oakland, although I am a Giants fan. LAME

That was a BS forward progress call. Like the Pass interference the play before.

If I was the defensive coordinator, and if I had two players in position, with one to strip the ball, I would tell them to keep his motion forward if it was the middle of the field. The Giants call was inside the 10, but the strange thing about that one, was the fact that the knees were not down, and the back was still in motion before he fell backwards. I have seen calls like that ruled the other way. Maybe they just wanted to keep it as close as the could for ratings, since it is a T.V. game. Actually they switched to Detroit -Pittsburgh...for the 2nd half...lol
That's a first.

That's why I don't get the Sunday Ticket, my heart couldn't take watching more than 2 games at once.
