MINNEAPOLIS, MN (theSpread) - The New York Giants have a date with their biggest division rival next week but they have a tough road test against the Minnesota Vikings this Monday first. Of course, after the Metrodome's roof collapsed on Sunday morning, the Vikings will essentially be playing a road game too as the game was moved to Detroit's Ford Field.
According to NFL Week 14 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Giants are 4-point favorites over the Vikings on Monday. The over/under total for this game is currently 43 points.
The Giants improved to 8-4 with a win over the Redskins last Sunday and are now 6-6 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re 3-2 on the road this year and have covered in three of those five games.
The Vikings improved 5-7 with a win over the Bills last Sunday and are now 4-8 against the number. They’re 4-2 at home this year and have covered in three of those six games at the Metrodome.

We favored the Giants by only a slim margin when the game was being played in Minnesota but now that the game is on a neutral field, we absolutely love the G-Men. The Vikings’ home field advantage has been completely wiped out. Not only are they playing a home game on the road, but they’re also playing in one of their division rivals’ home stadiums and the NFL is handing out free tickets. Do you think any Lions fans will show up to root against the Vikings? It’s a horrible situation for Minnesota and the edge it had has been wiped out. On a neutral field, we’ll take the Giants all day. Eli Manning and Co. need to stop turning the ball over but the Giants’ defensive line shouldn’t have any problems containing Tarvaris Jackson, who will probably start for Brett Favre (doubtful). The Vikings have looked good the past two weeks under interim head coach Leslie Frazier, but that was against the Redskins and Bills. Let’s see how they fair against a formidable opponent.
