FOX Thanksgiving Day Preview: Saints vs. Cowboys Free Pick & Odds
By Anthony Rome
Two NFC teams on a bit of a hot streak will due battle on Thanksgiving Day this Thursday when the Dallas Cowboys host the New Orleans Saints at 4:15PM ET on FOX.
According to latest NFL odds, oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com the Cowboys have been made a 3.5-point home underdog against the Saints on Thanksgiving Day. The over/under for this game is currently 51 points.
With their win over the Seahawks last Sunday, the Saints improved to 7-3 overall. But the latest NFL trends state that they’re just 5-5 against the spread, which includes a 2-2 record on the road. They are, however, 3-1 straight up away from the Louisiana Superdome.
The Cowboys improved to 3-7 with a win over the Lions last Sunday. They’re just 3-7 against the spread, however, which includes a 1-4 record at Cowboys Stadium this year.
NFL Week 12 Free Pick:
The Saints are starting to get healthier, which isn’t a good thing for the rest of the NFC. They’ll have revenge on their minds this Thursday when they take on a Cowboys team that crushed them in New Orleans last year. Drew Brees and company would love to return the favor and considering they’re 5-1 against the number in their last six games against Dallas, there’s a very real possibility that the Saints will get their revenge. Jon Kitna has played well the last two weeks but we don’t expect that to continue. The Saints’ defense has tightened up the past couple of weeks and should give him and the rest of the Cowboys’ offense trouble this Thursday. The Cowboys are just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog of 3.5-10 points. Our pick is the Saints minus the points.
